![]() Guided Particle LLC Awarded Phase 0 SBIR by Enterprise Florida October 2007- Guided Particle LLC was recently
awarded a Phase 0 SBIR Grant from Enterprise Flordia. The
Phase 0
SBIR program provides small businesses up to $3000 to be used toward
the preparation and submittal of a Phase 1 SBIR proposal to a Federal
Agency. During the application process,
preliminary proposals are evaluated by a panel of experts with
regard to technical innovation and suitability of the project to the
solicitation. Guided Particle is based in St Petersburg Florida and has
under development novel printing technology for the printed
electronics, biotechnology and materials development industries. For

Guided Particle LLC Identified as a Champion of USDC FPO Initiative July
2007-Guided Particle LLC was identified with Motorola, Kodak, General
Electric and other US corporations and universities as a
“Champion” of the US Display
Consortium’s Flexible Printed & Organic Electronics
(FPO)
initiative. The initiative seeks to develop the flexible, printed
&
organic electronics supply chain
and support a world-class competitive FPO Industry. Guided
Particle’s CEO and founder, Carolyn Fries, is enthusiastic
about
her company being among
those
selected: “We’re confident that a significant
opportunity
exists for Guided Particle’s products in the area of printed
electronics and are thrilled to be

High Tech Corridor Awards Guided Particle Research Grant
July
2007-Guided Particle LLC was recently awarded a grant from the Florida
High Tech Corridor (FHTC) for a research project now underway at the University
of South Florida’s St Petersburg campus. The project seeks to
enhance the understanding of the science behind the company’s
novel technology for
printing of
materials. The project goal is to deposit and evaluate characteristics
of specialized ultra thin materials using the patented technology. Dr.
Rod Casto,
Associate VP for
Economic Development at USF, says “The project with Guided
Particle is an excellent example of academic-industrial partnerships made
possible through the Florida High Tech Corridor Program. Guided
Particle’s founder has a proven track record for product
commercialization success and
the University of South Florida was pleased to work with the company on
